fall to do
i love the festive seasons. i love getting in the spirit. my roomates make fun of me since i insist on decorating the apartment for most occasions: thanksgiving, halloween and christmas... but no one complained when i baked pumpkin spice cupcakes last week (recipe here)
the fall is such a gorgeous time - crisp, fresh air, piling on layers of chunky knit sweaters and scarves, and crunchy leaves under your feet. i plan on making the most of it, before it sinks to -30 here in montreal and i hibernate between my apartment and the library.
i want to...
- convince my boyfriend to carve pumpkins with me
- go to chudleigh's apple farm and pick apples/drink cider
- venture to old montreal for shopping and lunch before it is way too cold to walk
- take festive photos with jen
- bake a cinnamon and nutmeg apple crumble
- drink as many pumpkin spice lattes as humanly possible from starbucks
come around sundown
i promise not every post will be sun-related. BUT one of my favourite bands, kings of leon, just released their new album: come around sundown. i've been really excited for this one since i saw them in july and they debuted a lot of new material.
it's less radio friendly than only by the night, but i don't think it's a bad thing. while it took me a couple of listens to really get into, the album definitely keeps growing on me.
my favourite tracks: the end (interestingly the opening track?), back down south and pick up truck.

baby steps
so after much debate, i decided to make a blog.
who will read it? probably no one.
but it will be nice to be creative again and share the fashion, food, music and various pretty things that i like.
